My name is Amber, I’m 24 and I live in Los Angeles, California. I love being in LA because it has allowed me to follow my dreams.
Overall as a person, I see myself as loving and accepting of others and always evolving. Being a dancer is one of my passions and I have trained to become a ballet dancer since the age of 9. Over the summer that year I did my first summer dance intensive. Where I danced from 9 am until 5 pm every day for 5 weeks. After that program, I knew I wanted to pursue dance.
I’ve been able to use dance in commercials, music videos, and on stage but my dream would be to stay in the profession for the long hall. It’s been awesome being part of the entertainment industry.
But by far my most favourite life moment with dance was being able to go to Mexico and teach children’s dance. A lot of the kids have not ever seen ballet before and I could tell a few kids were very inspired. Impacting someone else’s individual life meant so much to me to see the kid's reactions and how much they enjoyed what they were doing.
A subject that I would genuinely like to address is that your body type is perfect. Anyone can be a dancer. Every body type is welcomed to dance. There is no such thing as a perfect body. Remember you don’t need anyone to validate you to move and follow your dreams. Whoever you truly are, you can bring that to the table and thrive.
